| The goal of this course is to give the students the ability to name, explain, and demonstrate the rules for safe handling of a handgun and proper storage practices for handguns and ammunition; the ability to demonstrate and explain how to handle ammunition in a safe manner; the ability to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to shoot a handgun in a safe manner; how to safely shoot a pistol from multiple positions; and to meet the criteria set forth by the State of Ohio to apply for an Ohio License to Carry a Concealed Handgun. |

Student Required Materials

NO LIVE AMMUNITION IN THE CLASSROOM

Proper attire. We will be shooting on a private outdoor range. We will train rain or shine. |

A safe pistol (either a single action revolver, a double action revolver or a semi-automatic pistol). If you do not have a pistol, DO NOT buy one for this class. Contact us first as we do have pistols that can be loaned for the duration of the class (you will be responsible for purchasing .22 long rifle ammunition). |

100 rounds of the appropriate ammunition for the pistol that you bring to class (do not bring ammunition into classroom, ammunition is needed during range time) |

Time And Duration

Weekday classes start at 6pm and end at 10pm - 12 Hours total (State-mandated). |

Weekend classes start at 8am and ends at 8pm - 12 Hours (State-mandated). |

Each participant should expect to spend 10 hours in training and at least 2 hours on the range. |
